Sea Day

All got onboard and we had a great first day yesterday! Today is a beautiful sea day. We have seen dolphins and even some whales as we travel. Tonight is formal night and lobster!! Yum! Tomorrow we cruise into Tracey Arm Fjord. They have a special excursion that will take you up close to the glacier in a small boat. It is expensive but I signed up! Have to check these things out for clients you know!! Dwight said he would just look from the ship! Then we are doing the Chef's Table for dinner. Will let you know all about that afterwards!!!

We all met in the lobby after breakfast then walked down to the Hop On Hop Off pick up location. We rode down to the waterfront and got off near Argosy Cruises so we could get our tickets for the Harbor Tour cruise. We had an hour to walk around the piers and check out the stores and restaurants to see which we wanted to eat in for lunch!! The Harbor tour was excellent. We all got a good dose of vitamin D riding on the top! The narration was excellent on this trip! After the cruise the majority of us headed over to Ivar's Acres of Clams which has been in business since 1938. Several of us had King Salmon...this is the last week of the only 2 weeks that the you can get fresh King Salmon! The rest of the time it comes frozen. I had it and it was awesome! After lunch we headed to the Aquarium. It is a very nice place that I woud recommened to all ages. We got back on the bus and rode it to Pikes Place Market to watch the flying fish. Our group decided to head back to the hotel. I that been a super long day!! We rested up some then headed out for dinner!

Arrival day in Seattle

Well I have a few more gray hairs after this morning! 4 of our group were stuck in security and had to run to the plane to get on!! Somehow I sweet talked the gate agent and she held it for them! Flight was good, had a couple rough spots but not bad. After we all got our luggage I called our bus to come and pick us up. They had to call another van to come get luggage because it all would not fit in the 29 passenger bus. The van was completely full too!!
After we all bombard the hotel 5 hrs before check in, we get our luggage stowed in a room and head out looking for food! We are now 2 hrs earlier so this has some of us messed up! We walked 2 blocks over to the Seattle Center and headed for the Armory that houses a food court. We all ate then headed over to the Space Needle. It was a beautiful clear day so it was awesome looking out from the top.
After getting all the Hop On Hop Off tickets for in the morning, we headed to the Pacific Science Center where we saw a IMAX film, Mummies: Secrest of the Pharoahs. It was good. There was a Butterfly habitat there that was really nice. TheExperiance Music Project was another museum we went to. There we saw exhibits on AC/DC and Jimi Hendrix. The had sound rooms you could go in and place insturments. Was a really cool place and wish my brother could see it! I know he would love it.
After walking around for 7 hours we headed back to the hotel to get checked in. There is a restaurant here and we at there and it was really good. It has been a long day so everyone hit the sack pretty early. We have a full day planned tomorrow!!!

CABO SAN LUCAS

Our last port of call was Cabo San Lucas. It was a beautiful day with lots of sunshine. We didn’t have an excursion booked so we got off around 11 and walked to Cabo Waco, the bar/club owned by Sammy Hagar. It was a very nice place with great food. After lunch we headed back to the waterfront and did some shopping before taking the tender back to the ship. The show aboard tonight was a new production, Rockin Roadhouse. It was fantastic! All 3 shows this week were new ones and they were very good. The chocolate late night buffet was tonight and I got a few pictures.
At sea today, in the morning we will be in San Diego and our Florida to California adventure will come to an end. Hate to go home!

PUERTO VALLARTA

Woke up to a beautiful Cinco de Mayo in Puerto Vallarta! We disembarked and boarded our bus for the Town, Country and Tequila tour. First we went to old town and walked along the boardwalk and saw statues and then some sand statues! Some of these were real people!! See pictures below! Then we walked up the street to a cathedral. It was beautiful. After getting back on the nice air conditioned bus, we went on a scenic ride thru the section of town where the homes cost $1 million dollars and flats rent for $2,000 a month! We drove thru Ixtapa and stopped at a church where a Quincenera (sp?) was going on. Very neat to see that in person. Our next stop was Hacienda Dona Engracia for a tour of the tequila factory and tasting. They also had food to buy and we had a couple tacos that were good. The tortillas were being made and put right on the plates! They had 6 types of tequila and everyone got a taste of each. A couple pretty were pretty tipsy when they got on the bus to go back! We were very happy with this tour and the guide Ramon. We have now on sailing the seas and will be in Cabo San Lucas in the morning.
