Dominica

Another beautiful day when we arrived in Dominica. No excursion planned so we got off to walk around. If you ever stop in Dominica, you best bet is to take an excursion. To see the beauty of the island you have to go inland. The town of Roseau is small and not really a lot there. After being bombarded by the locals wanting to take us on a tour, we got a map from the visitors center from a not real friendly lady. We walked to the Catholic, Angelican and Methodist churches and also by Ft Young which is now a hotel. Walking on a back street we had a lady ask us for change and a guy that said ‘You need some good reefer’?! After those encounters we headed on back to the main street. The shopping area was street vendors lined along the main road and down a couple of alleys. They were not real pushy but they did ask for donations to the school children for books. A couple people were selling things and mentioned the school books. We headed back to the ship after about an hour of being in town. Headed to the pool and relaxed for the afternoon. Saw Tron:Legacy at the Movies Under the Stars tonight. Have an early excursion in Grenada tommorrow.
