Ketchikan

Had a very short day in Ketchikan. Some got off early and went fishing and a few others did some excursions. I went shopping!! It was misty and cloudy but not too bad. Tonight is formal night. Tomorrow is Victoria!!

Juneau

Juneau was foggy and rainy and that made for no helicopter flights. We were so upset!! So we went to the Red Dog Saloon and had a couple drinks and lunch then went back to the ship. The ones that went whale watching had a great time! Guess I will have to try for the Dog Sled next year!!!

Skagway

Well we ended up with a beautiful day today! Was a little cloudy but the sun poked thru a few times throughout the day. And it didn't rain! So that was good. Most of the group went on the White Pass Rail today. Some did Gold Panning too but no big winners! They had a good time though! Dwight and I went on a float trip that you could not purchase thru the ship. It is only us and one other couple! THAT is why I don't book excursions on the ship and book them with a local company. Much more personalized service! Keenan our guide was outstanding! It is his 4th summer to work up here! It was a long day in town, we are just pulling out of port.

Tracy Arm Fjord

What a day!! I did an excursion where the ship stopped and a smaller catamaran that holds about 145 people, pulled up along side the ship and we boarded and took off! We went up in farther than the ship could go and got real close to 2 glaciers. SAw a bear, eagle, tons of sea lions, beautiful waterfalls and the awesome glaciers. It was a 3 hour tour and I recommend it!! Tonight Dwight and I did the Chef's Table dining. This is only done 2 times per sailing and only for 12 people. The chef meets us and takes us in the kitchen for 4 different appetizers and champagne. Most people doin't get to tour the galley while dinner is going on. It is amazing how small it is and how efficently it is run. Then we went to a dining area set up in the disco! We had 7 courses throughout the 3 hr time! It was beyond words! If you go on a cruise you really need to experiance this. It is $75 per person but it is something you can't do at home!
Tommorrow we are in Skagway!!! Most of the group are going on the White Pass Rail. Dwight and I are going on a float trip. Can't wait until Sat to do the Dogsled tour!!!!
